Our Animal Control Officers are responsible for enforcing State, County and City codes and ordinances governing animal control functions (e.g. field enforcement, licensing, animals at large, animal bite investigations, etc.) and include animal handling and constraint. This is a new position that assists with ensuring proper maintenance of the Shelter’s building(s), equipment and grounds (facilities). Under the direction of the Supervisor, completes tasks and maintenance tickets related to landscaping, janitorial, building safety and operation, and property and facilities management. Performs designated maintenance tasks and assists with vendor, contractor and volunteer oversight as directed.
Expected hiring range is $13.50 to $14.50 per hour and may be negotiable commensurate with applicable experience.

Larimer Humane Society Client Services Supervisors are responsible for the operations of the Service Desk, during a particular shift, ensuring clients receive consistent high quality services. Services include animal adoptions, returns, intakes, merchandise sales and more. This is a full-time, working supervisor position with engagement in all services tasks. The position involves daily interaction with the animals in our care in addition to providing services to clients. Must have strong organizational and leadership skills. The schedule for this position will include at least one weekend day. Please include start date availability, days and times of work availability and pay rate requirements in a cover letter.
Expected hiring range is between $14.50 and $15.50 per hour.

We’re searching for qualified applicants interested in performing clerical and customer service duties at Larimer Humane Society. Our full-time Licensing Assistant positions are responsible for processing animal licenses, rabies vaccination records and delivering associated customer service by phone, email and in person. The work involves a significant amount of sedentary and repetitive data entry as well as frequent customer interaction and more. Must learn licensing laws and regulations, rabies tag rules and regulations, and specialized software. Requirements include a minimum of one-year customer service experience, solid computer and data entry work experience, attention to detail, 10-key skills, and emotional intelligence, work ethic and integrity skills. Chameleon software and cash handling experience are both a plus. The work schedule for the position is Monday through Friday with occasional weekends, evenings and overtime as required.
